Why name it that? An introduction

Well believe it or not, quite often I will start a story with the phrase "You'll never believe what happened!" My life has not been particularly tragic or exciting but a lot of interesting things have occurred and I have been told many times that I should write a book because no one would believe it.

Now many people will know me for the work that I do for my sister's missing persons case (just one of many stories that I will cover) some may know me from the WLS(weight loss support) community on Instagram and some may just know me as the silly loud sweary woman from social media.

So let's start at the beginning shall we? I was born on a lazy sunday afternoon in February in the seventies. There is exactly one photo of me as a baby and little else. I wasn't raised by sentimental humans. I was a two week late birthday present for my father, a large ginger man that was a butcher from victoria who unbeknown to me had a son just three months earlier with his wife in melbourne. But that's another story.

My life began with very little fanfare just a normal tiny little girl that had no idea about the job that she was born to be given several years later.

My mother was a tiny very athletic woman with natural dark brown almost black curls and dark blue grey eyes. Both of my parents were very intelligent, very mentally and physically strong and both full of secrets.

Just under two years after I was born my mother was pregnant with twins. What she didn't know is that she was about to be diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder that would change all of our lives forever.

At just 28 weeks gestation my mother went into premature labour. There were limited resources in the early seventies and because of this and the disease I am sure, my mother gave birth to twins Peter and Mary. Mary sadly was stillborn. Peter stayed in the neo-natal unit for 3months until he was strong enough to come home.

So that is how it all started, my family as far as I knew it. It wasn't until I started going to school that I realised that my life was different to other kids my age.
